Is Kontuly in beta? How do I join?
Yes. Kontuly is in beta (version 0.2), open to Australian sole traders, small businesses, bookkeepers and BAS agents. Sign up at kontuly.com/beta and you'll be emailed your own download link.
Is the beta free?
Yes. There's nothing to pay during the beta: licences aren't on sale, and the app has no buy, upgrade or renew buttons. Testers are given a licence key, and earn licences by using Kontuly. The beta page explains what testers earn.
Why isn't there a download button?
During the beta, each tester is emailed their own download link, so everyone can be supported properly.
Is it safe to use my real books?
Kontuly is pre-release software. Keep your current system running alongside it during the beta, and keep a copy of your books off the computer. Kontuly takes daily backups itself and can copy them to a USB drive or network drive for you; see How do I keep a copy of my books off the computer?
How do I enter the licence key I was given?
Click Enter licence key in the strip at the top of the screen, or in Settings → Licence. See How do I enter my Kontuly licence key?
How much will Kontuly cost?
Prices will be announced when licences go on sale. See kontuly.com/pricing and Which Kontuly licences are there?
Can I join from outside Australia?
The beta is for Australian businesses only. Questions about the beta go to beta@kontuly.com.
