How do I get back a business I deleted in Kontuly?
Kontuly saves a final backup of a business before deleting it, so you can bring it back with Restore from file…. The message shown after deleting gave the backup's full location; it's a file starting deleted- in the backups folder of Kontuly's data folder.
- Find the backup file. Open the data folder:
~/Library/Application Support/Kontulyon a Mac,%APPDATA%\Kontulyon Windows or~/.config/Kontulyon Linux. Inbackups, look in each folder (they're named with a code, not the business name) for a file startingdeleted-. - Open Settings → Backups in any business and click Restore from file…. If you have no business left, click Restore from a backup file… on the start screen instead.
- Choose the
deleted-file.
The business comes back as a new business, with everything it had when it was deleted.
Can't find the file?
Look at the dates on the files: the one made when you deleted the business is the right one. If you exported backups or use off-site copies, you can restore the latest of those instead.
Will it email my customers again?
Not straight away. A restored business starts with overdue reminders off and recurring templates paused. Switch them back on in Settings and Recurring if this is your working copy.
