Why can't I delete a draft invoice in Kontuly?

Applies to Kontuly 0.2 beta Updated

Draft invoices can't be deleted in Kontuly because their number is already taken: an invoice is numbered as soon as it's first saved, and numbers are never reused. Void the draft instead: nothing changes in your books, and the number stays in your sequence marked Void.

To void a draft, hover over it in the Invoices list and click the void icon, or open it and click Void, then confirm.

What can be deleted?

Document Draft Approved
Invoice Void it Void it (or raise a credit note)
Bill Delete draft Void it (or record a supplier credit note)
Credit note Delete draft Void it
Quote, contract, purchase order Delete n/a: they never touch your books

Nothing has been posted for a draft bill or credit note, so Delete draft removes it completely. A deleted customer credit note's CN number isn't reused. The deletion is recorded in the Audit Log.

Approved documents are never deleted, only voided, so the history stays. See Can I change invoice numbers in Kontuly?
